Labrador Retrievers are one of the most intelligent and popular dogs in the world. They are very easily trained and easily maintained as far as grooming. They are great family dogs, as they get along great with children and other pets. Their sole purpose is to please you, whether that be as a family dog just hanging out with the rest of the family or as a hunting dog. Having said that, they are not for everyone, so please do your research before adopting a Lab, or any other dog for that matter, to make sure that you have the time, space and lifestyle to properly accommodate a Lab. They are very energetic and require daily exercise. They want to be with you, so you must want to be with them. If not given the proper exercise or time with you, they can become bored easily.
